Biography

​

Prof. Rev. Benjamin (Ngun Nei Ṭhio) was saved in 1985 through the ministry of an evangelical preacher, Joseph Lal Cuan. After completing seminary, he served as a pastor at Tuingo Gospel Baptist Church for five years. The joy of serving God alongside the church members was a constant encouragement to him. He also had the privilege of teaching at area conferences, ministering to deacons, Sunday school departments, youth groups, and women’s groups.

In 2003, he began serving as the adjunct pastor of the 31st Gospel Baptist Church, a role he held until 2013. Beginning in 2002, he started teaching full-time at Gospel Baptist Bible Seminary (GBBS), a position he continues to hold. Teaching at GBBS has been a rewarding experience, allowing him to invest in future leaders of the church and deepen his own understanding of God’s Word.

In 2010, during the Chin State Myanmar Convention spiritual festival held in Hakha Town, he was ordained as a Reverend by the church. That same year, he was entrusted with the role of Dean of Students, a position he held until 2015. In 2019, he was appointed Vice Principal of the seminary, a role he continues to serve in. These responsibilities marked significant milestones in his ministry and were a testament to God’s grace and guidance in his life.

In 2011, God blessed him with a family, giving him three sons and two daughters.
