Gospel Baptist Bible Seminary and the Chin Hills Ministries
For six years (1987-1993) the Seminary functioned at premises rented in Kalaymyo. With the joining of qualified faculty, students from different parts of Myanmar, and with the vision to meet the needs of the Churches of Myanmar at large, the leadership deemed best to move the Seminary in Yangon. Again, the Seminary functioned at rented premises in Yangon since 1993, at 46 Ward, North Dagon till 2008. But now God used Dr. Forth Naisang and Family (The Chin Hills Ministries) to buy 12 acres of land in 2001 for the Campus and made beautiful buildings for boarding, class rooms, all purpose hall and staff quarters too. The Chin Hills Ministries began after Dr. Forth and his wife Judy visited Myanmar along with his brothers and sisters in 1997. They visited GBBS rented buildings and few Library books with one small cupboard in 46 Ward, North Dagon. Since then, Dr Forth and Judy formed the Chin Hills Ministries having purpose and plan to buy a large enough Campus for GBBS. In order to get the large Campus, Aunty Judy and Lucky Cung Hlen contributed their precious time and energy for the cause of the ministry. After years of searching for GBBS Campus they finally purchased a plot of land which was discovered by U Ral Lian Thang (Van Lung pa) in 2001 at Pale-Mingalardon. The land was bought in the name of Bawi Sung (Van Lung nu) and Tawk Hngel (Kim Kim nu) which later became in the name of Bawi Sung (Van Lung nu) only after Tawk Hngel (Kim Kim nu) migrated to USA in 2010. The Lord used several people and means to have this wide and beautiful Campus of the GBBS.

The construction of buildings (All purpose building) begun later in 2004 then chapel-class rooms, dorms (for Ladies and Men) and staff units since 2006 onward. After then over 15 years of living in rented buildings at 46 Ward, North Dagon, Yangon, the Seminary finally moved to the new Campus in June 2009 at Pale-Mingalardon, Yangon. In order to keep going the ministry, the Chin Hills Ministries appointed Mercy Van Hlei as Campus Administrator to take care of the Campus and buildings as well as all properties of the Chin Hills Ministries in Myanmar. Water treatment (Ever Living Water) has been operating in order to maintain the Campus and ministry of the Chin Hills Ministries (CHM) also to provide free purified drinking water distribution to neighbors. The GBBS is greatly indebted to Dr. Forth Naisang and family (the CHM) not only for creating the Campus of the Gospel Baptist Bible Seminary, but also for receiving a blessing of his teaching on Apologetics and evangelism which he has vision and much concern to evangelize the whole Myanmar. The Seminary was also blessed to have Dr. Cory from the Southern Baptist Convention to teach Theological Foundation of church growth and church planting.
